Problem Note 60097: A CLI execute error occurs when using PROC APPEND to create a new Netezza table

When you use the APPEND procedure to write a SAS® data set to a new Netezza table, the following error occurs:
ERROR: CLI execute error:
This problem occurs when the table contains a BIGINT data type.
The following code illustrates this behavior:
libname x netezza server='nz_server' database=nzdatabase user=nzUser
password=nzpwd;
password=nzpwd;
data work.tab_bulk2;
i=9223372036854875807;
output;
run;
i=9223372036854875807;
output;
run;
proc delete data=x.tab_bulk2;
run;
run;
proc append base=x.tab_bulk2 (bulkload=yes dbtype=(i='bigint'))
data=work.tab_bulk2 force;

Note: When you do not use the BULKLOAD option, the following error occurs:
ERROR: CLI execute error: Overflow of BIGINT column detected.
To work around this issue, use the CHAR data type instead of the BIGINT data type, as shown in the following example code:
proc append base=x.tab_bulk2 (bulkload=yes dbtype=(i='CHAR(20)'))
data=work.tab_bulk2 force;
run;
data=work.tab_bulk2 force;
run;
